Knock and runs this eve in ED

Has anyone else had their doorbells ring this evening only to answer it and find no one there? It's happened three times this eve and I'm part amused at some spritely knock n runners or slightly creeped out.

Would be interested to know if anyone else has had this tonight.

Whereabouts are you? There were two chaps with orange tabards on knocking on doors in my road. They knocked on mine but were walking back down the drive as I got there. They did the same next door to me too. I think they were cold so were rushing....

Are you sure it's not your doorbell playing up? We have one of the remote wireless ones which is prone to random ringing.

Our door bell connects to a neighbour's bell too

Wireless door bells can do this...the leaflet I had with mine gave the reason, which I now cannot recall but the solution was to reset the bell.
