I heard some children repeating their teacher's Chinese at a school in the area, and it got me thinking about which languages forumites know, and how they acquired them.... (English, French, Italian, others - only English is mother tongue).

Same as here - you just wave your empty glass at the bar person (actually this is probably considered rude :) )
