American style fridge freezer - purchase advice please

Hello all - I want to buy a new one to replace our very old one. John Lewis said they couldn?t deliver one as I have a few steps up to the front door and also said no other big company would! They actually came with a new one which they had to take back (I had told them about the steps when ordering!) Seemed not to have a ramp. has anyone successfully bought one or had their old one taken away?! I can?t believe it is impossible with the right equipment although of course they are very heavy items. Any advice gratefully received as our current one is over 20 years old and clearly on its last legs.

Unfortunately John Lewis have privatised all of its appliance deliveries now. Most of them will use any excuse to get out of doing the job.

AO are much much better in my experience

AO are an online appliance company - we got our large fridge from them - very easy to deal with

A O were great. Had a fridge and a washing machine at delivered with no fuss to a first floor flat.
