lilolil
We now have cctv showing the person with the bag going into a house at the lower end of Hindmans close to Family stores. Sadly the police won?t help get the property back. SpringTime
Why won't the police help you get the property back, Lillie? Have they seen the CCTV footage? Perhaps you can post the footage in case there's a match between this theft and others already posted here on the forum. lilolil
They said not to go down there and to ring the crime management team in the morning by which time we know that the property will either have been sold or disposed of.The footage only shows him walking down the road wearing a hoodie and carrying the rucksack, you cannot see his face but it is clear which house he went into. It is a multi household property. My son did speak to one of the occupants who wasn?t the nicest of people. sandyman
Sadly it seems that the police don't seem to want to get involved in certain crimes. A friend's phone was stolen recently ? she could see the address where it was on her find a phone app but the police wouldn't assist. tedfudge
I think the address you are talking about is a halfway house for alcoholics and drug abusers ... dont want to judge but probably alot of the crime in the area may result in some of the occupants on there ie burglaries car break ins etc.... it's also a disgrace that the plod wont come to deal with certain crimes in my book a crime is a crime no matter how small it is.... If he was still around, he?s come in, have a cup of tea and then say ?Let?s go and sort this out?Things have changed eh? Very frustrating and disappointing. Feeling very let down.We have 2 sets of cctv with indisputable evidence but no signs of police assistance. lilolil
There must be support workers attached to this place. I?d like to find out who oversees it. And yes, it makes you want to take matters into your own hands. I wonder if they had stolen from a police officer or their family the protocol would be the same? lameduck
So these people are above the lawthey can do what they like? I realise the police are over stretched, and when they do catch criminals, sentences are a joke. But they could at least go through the motions of visiting said houseit is disgusting. Peckhamnearbe
No thanks kidkruger; too many completely innocent people have been brutally murdered- usually on communal grounds. Very poor taste. A horrible incident just happened this week. Not even the weak and elderly spared. We don?t want that sort of thing here. lilolil
We don't want violence or trouble, just the property returned. Much too late for that I expect.Support from the police would be very welcome. lilolil
Further update to say that some of the keys were found close to the junction of Henslowe and Underhill Road. They had been thrown into a bush! If you could check your front gardens for keys, a charger or small tools we would be grateful, thank you!And a huge thank you to the person who found them!
