Just a heads up that Lordship Lane is closed between the Court Lane and the Grove Tavern, I think due to a traffic accident (judging by number of ambulances early this am). As a consequence, all buses and traffic are being diverted around Melford and Underhill (where there are traffic works) and as a result it is carnage. Two double decker buses coming opposite ways have been stuck opposite each other on Melford for about 15 mins as they can't get past the parked cars and can't reverse. Avoid if possible.

Updated to say that a neighbour has moved their car and traffic is now flowing again, but it's still pretty busy.

To be fair, I'm not sure that opening up Court Lane and the Village Junction would help the 197, 185 and 176 get through to Forest Hill from LL, but it definitely means that the only available route for all traffic right now is around these streets. I didn't enjoy leaving the house on my bike today.

Some kind of permeable barrier, that emergency vehicles and traffic could cross when directed by a police officer, you mean?

Thank you - on bus !

Well there was when I went through about 9am. Pedestrians and cyclists were allowed through on the pavement. Sympathies to those who really needed to drive round.

    • They can get an EPC at anytime, it’s not really strong enough to claim against, but they would need one to evict you. You’re leaving anyway so ….
    • Thank you both. Inexperience Landlord trying to save  a few pennies - hence no agent involved. The issue is the fact that it is my understanding that without an EPC that is current then they should not have rented the property - far  more to the point and taken rent from me. They commissioned an EPC 4 weeks & I am still waiting for or a copy!!! No gas in property. Well I guess it will be a case of instructing solicitors which I have tried to avoid doing but as they are not responding at all, I have no choice. If I am correct about EPC then it will cost them alot more than refunding me my rent.
    • Went there a couple of weeks ago and had their set lunch menu - very good value and generous portions. Sea bream was delicious .
    • Some years ago, one of our dogs ate something dropped by rubbish bins outside a local café and haemorrhaged. Rushed to emergency vet in Streatham, who suggested that someone, worried about rats getting into rubbish bins may have put down poison. Our dog died the next day. Consequently, any dog we had afterwards wore a muzzle to stop them picking up food.
