Worth thinking about whether you really need someone local as London rates tend to be higher, and much of the process is electronic / by email. We?ve used https://www.macdonaldoates.co.uk/practice-areas/residential-property/ for house purchase (and wills) and they?ve been brilliant.

Agree with legalalien. Had no problems with continuing to use our solicitor when she moved to York - Rachel Bourne at Harrowells. She specialises in conveyancing

Good point Legal, I used a Wiltshire conveyancer once for a purchase on South Coast.

Can?t remember why that transpired, but zero difference in terms of the transaction.

And cheaper !

We used Jess Davis at Laurus Law (based in Clerkenwell I think but everything was done online anyway). They were excellent.

would like to add that they visit or work over phone, and all solicitors have their specialities... Its well worth taking a look at AUsten's conveyancing results google ratings.
