snorky
if the "local businesses" want tone, then Im sure it will happenIm only a humble shy resident, so have no say in the matter Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2916-east-dulwich-civic-centre/#findComment-89950 Share on other sites
Marmora Man
What does a Civic Centre do / provide? It sounds like a space for something to happen in - that's what church halls and the like are for. The idea of paying extra council tax for a space doesn't do much for me. snoozequeen1
I thought Southwark Council is spending ?220 million (I haven't checked that so it could be wildly wrong) moving its HQ and most of its staff on to one site at London Bridge. You know, right in the middle of the borough. Ever so convenient for the public who want to attend meetings etc. They are I believe selling off the current Town Hall in SE5 together with other current council buildings. So don't understand why a new municipal building would go up in SE22?
