New Indian takeaway Grove Vale

Has anyone tried thw new Indian takeaway-Rannagher? It is where a Chinese takeaway used to be near the Blackbird bakery.

Went there the other night.

Very expensive and I told the guy so.

More expensive than some sit-downs in Lordship Lane.

Did not buy anything.

Foxotron - that Sydenham one sounds pretty cheap though. And rent is lower in Sydenham.

I'd pay those prices if it was good... but we shall see..

We had the set vegetarian meal for two from there the other night. Nice flavours and generous portions - there was enough for lunch next day too. I thought the onion bhajis were particularly good.

We have had a couple of takeaways and they have been great! In comparison to other curry houses in East Dulwich I think it's good value for money and will definitely been going there again.

I have eaten here a few times, the food is top quality, price is a little expensive but the quality you get is amazing. Fresh ingredients and a great chef.

Tried this last night after reading the recommendations on here, and I wasn't disappointed. As with Tandoori Nights, the extra expense is worth it to get something genuinely tasty. Definitely my favourite of the Indians that deliver in East Dulwich, and although not up to the standard of Tandoori Nights, it'll be my first choice if I can't be bothered to walk round the corner.

However, the quest for proper Scottish style Pakora goes on - I've still not found anywhere in England that is even close and still no sign of that amazing pink sauce either. If anyone knows of anywhere that gets it right I'd love to know.

That's a shame.. despite my earlier judgement 3 years back Rannagher became one of m favourites for Take Away and deliveries..

Food was excellent and generous proportions. I remember recommending Rannagher to Louisa who if I remember correctly

enjoyed her meal from there.
