I'm quite sure half the neighbourhood has hardly slept since the early hours of this morning. The howling has been constant. it's been happening on a regular basis over the past months and when it does the animal is relentless (and so are the owners for keeping the dog locked outside?) What is one meant to do? Aren't the owners and direct neighbours massively exhausted? The problem is I can't pinpoint exactly where the animal resides so don't know where to address my concerns. Anyone else got a clue?

You need to call the noise team whilst suffering the noise nuisance and they will come out.

Alternatively wander around after dark and try to pinpoint the sound and then call the noise team

Next time it happens I'll alert the nuisance team and actually record the noise. My 3 year old was convinced there was a wolf outside and it went on and on until well into the morning. It definitely sounds like the vocals of a big hound and it must live virtually opposite us as our neighbours twenty doors down only heard it faintly.
