Sally Eva
https://www.london-se1.co.uk/news/view/10577"The Future Bus project, which is a set of measures to improve bus passenger experience, will also start, including provision of additional bus shelters and improved real-time information," says the TfL report."The initial year of this project will trial different interventions on a specific bus route to promote the return of bus passengers to the network following the coronavirus pandemic, as well as helping arrest the long-term decline in bus patronage that was occurring prior to the pandemic."Subject to the evaluation of this initial year, this is anticipated to lead to further passenger-facing enhancements in future years."The Future Bus trial is expected to cost up to ?5 million. "Maybe they will go back to the idea of continuing the route to Honor Oak station which seems a no-brainer to me Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/290619-63-route-to-test-tfls-plans-for-buses/ Share on other sites
ab29
They should also redirect nr 40 back to London Bridge, as it was before. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/290619-63-route-to-test-tfls-plans-for-buses/#findComment-1527654 Share on other sites
heartblock
Ridiculous that 40 was stopped from going all the way to LB. It?s a real issue for patients with reduced mobility to get to the Guy?s campus now. Well, pre-pandemic anyway.I've lost count of the number of times I've heard the dreaded announcement:"The destination of this bus has been changed"!Also, it might prove difficult to terminate the bus there and turn it around to make the return journey without directing it down residential side streets. siousxiesue
"The destination of this bus has been changed"!This! And the endless being held at stops 'to regulate the service' means I have largely given up on buses altogether Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/290619-63-route-to-test-tfls-plans-for-buses/#findComment-1527714 Share on other sites
