Its useful that the "No, Sir" appropriate way to address someone thread has seemingly merged with the "Freedom day poll", as the attached photo was sent to me by a mate (an actual mate, as opposed to me calling most of you 'mate':)) ) in Australia...and seems to be appropriate for both threads....

An Aussie guy I met was going off to Plymouth to meet his ?reli?s?

On his return he said ?Strewth, they all speak like pirates down there?

So hearing ?Maid? as an address to a person kinda fits

Very nice

    • Agree and that is due to the echo-chamber nature of social media algorithms. Previously racists and other idiots wouldn't read stuff in traditional media that echoed their warped mindset but now they feel empowered because they think everyone thinks this and can easily reach those that do share the same ideology. Cast your mind back to how Blackberry Messenger was blamed for its role in the London riots back in 2011. We now have that a thousand times worse.
    • Wow what can we say Steve and Nicola did a fantastic job on our paquet flooring. After the builders made a complete mess of our floors after a flood, not only was back to wood price very reasonable. They were very professional and listened to exactly what we wanted.  The finish was perfect and hardly any dust  and they kept us informed during the works. We would highly recommend this company. 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️   The only down side using Steve & Nicola is the lead time, we had to wait over 8 weeks, but believe me, it was definitely worth waiting for their availability.
    • strong agree rockets - not just the kids tho - the number of older people who seem to have been radicalised is more noticeable to me
