Just to make our Goodrich Road neighbours aware - our car was broken into last night (Tues). Not sure how they did it as no windows were smashed so assuming they used some type of scanner gadget?? We are on the top bit of Goodrich near Donkey Alley. Luckily the car wasn't nicked and we didn't have anything valuable in it but they made a real mess and left the door open. Keep your eyes peeled folks.

Sorry to hear that.

It is well worth investing a small amount in an RF protected box (you can get them on Amazon)to keep car keys in (especially the newer advanced car keys) as thieves are able to bridge the connection if the car is parked close to the house and the keys are in close proximity.

Hello..

Are you sure it was locked as this morning in Barry road I was sitting in my car as I was texting someone as I just got home from work and there was 2 guys one on either side of the road trying door handles on cars one was about do do mine and saw me in it and called me a cunt I got out of my car and confronted them but they walked off..

2 white guys 1 tall 1 shorter both wearing baseball caps and shorter one had a few teeth missing and both with rucksacks..

Both had northern accents aswell ..

If you see these 2 thieving shits watch your cars..

    • If you report this to Southwark they'll probably advise you to make a Third party claim or contact your insurance company.  Obviously if your building is not yet affected you may be reluctant to contact your insurance company because it can lead to problems in future when you go to renew even if you don't make a claim.  If it's just the pavement and garden wall etc you could start the conversation about removing/replacing the tree with the tree officer at Southwark, copying in your councillor if you get no reply.   The claim advice is in the link if you want to go down that route or ring them for advice https://www.southwark.gov.uk/housing/homeowners/leaseholders/building-insurance/make-claim
    • Hi there, Anyone interested in a summer meet up for boys starting Y7 at St Thomas Apostle school in September? Please private message me. Thanks!
    • I had my nails done by Sofia a week last Friday and they're really lasting well, no chips so far! +44 7467 626325 Call to book or she's also on Instagram but they take a high percentage of each booking needless to say! Lovely little room where she does nails, personal service with tea and biscuits.. nice calm environment.  Highly recommended!
    • If you have any experience dealing with local authority or insurance company please can you private message me, as I would appreciate advice and to hear from someone who's been successful in having a tree causing damage removed from the pavement outside house. I love trees but it doesn't seem sensible to have planted species which are growing or will grow into tall/large trees and need somewhere for their roots to grow... huge problem in this area (stumps and empty patches in pavements galore) especially with clay soil already causing some soil movement.  Thanks and hopefully no rude replies. Seem to be some on here with too much time, ready to attack or with sarcastic comments.
