Obviously modest forbade me from making such a suggestion for the lead role, ie me.

But if one of the cast is coming up with intelligent and appropriate casting suggestions then I must take them on board.

You'll find me a director who takes notice of the 'talent'.

I'll get my people to contact his.

Hmm PG. I'm sure it's not your intention, but the cinema going public might think this was one of those 'specialist' films. You know the sort of thing one used to go and see in Soho cinemas in one's youth.

Usually had a supporting csrtoon. Usually Fritz The Cat.

I like the use of the modern vernacular though. The man losing his wallet was being 'flakey', wasn't he?

We might wring a few quid out of some gullible teenagers.

Keep this up PG and an assistant associate executive producer's role could be yours.

why spadetownboy you charmer you,

but isn't that the new film "In Bruges" ?

In Bruges - Colin Farrell & Brendan Gleeson

but back on topic (even tho it's in The Lounge) fair play to wallet. Being "upstanding citizens" isn't a Bad Thing, STB

Lady MacGabhann has "lost" her wallet/purse on more than one occassion - upstanding citizens have been very helpful to her

Sorry to say Giggi but Clooney's turned out To be something of a broken reed.

He was sent an outline of the script and offered the lead part, ie me.

Things seemed to be progressing nicely until we started talking costume and character.

Clooney's people said he would not consider wearing a bald wig and putting on four stone for the part. Furthermore he would not be shown on screen sitting round the house in a bath robe that made him look like a badly wrapped bag of chips.

I begged them to consider the 'method'. What of Stanislavsky? I entreated, but to no avail.

If only dear Roy Kinnear were still with us, I'm sure he'd have jumped at the chance.

Anyway never say die, as we can see from above STB and SeanMG are mad keen on doing it.

    • I wonder if anyone can help.  My age 16 child has been forced to leave school due to prolonged ill health, onset after Covid.  It’s incredibly isolating and I was wondering if they are any local clubs (art perhaps) for her age group, or just meet ups in the area- perhaps other children out of school/ home educated who would be keen to meet.  Anything very active is out of the question- so sports wouldn’t be possible.  I’d be very interested in speaking to other parents in my position about how they manage.
    • I inherited an electric awning.  It's fab in this extreme weather in my south facing garden. Canvas now decrepit and needs replacing.  Over stretched. Anyone done this - know of anyone who can do this? Advice much appreciated. K.
    • I think that presumption's a false one and that there's no such requirement.  If in doubt try asking 'Who can make a planning application?'   So it's firm evidence at most of just their belief that they might be  setting up shop there.  Putting in an early anticipatory application for their display signage, to lessen any dead time waiting for the permission, might well be a worthwhile expense.  They don't seem to have withdrawn the application, so are at least presumably still interested in taking over the premises.
    • We had Bunny Bowket who smelt, but in our sixth form field trip turned into a nice father type.  But that wasn't Peckham Manor.  Here's a nice link https://www.peckhamsociety.org.uk/?p=279
