Alan Medic
Anyone know how/where I can do a test and obtain a printed result or a result I can print off? The printed result is a requirement to go to an event in a couple of weeks (assuming it's negative). Penguin68
I think you'll need a PCR, not a lateral flow, test to meet the venue requirements, and no more than 48 hours before the event. Possibly 24. Alan Medic
Not in this case Penguin and perhaps not in others either. Wembley required football fans attending recent matches to be able to show a negative LFT result on their phones. Applespider
One of my colleagues went to the Cup Final at Wembley and required both. There was a stringent timetable that he had to stick to. He needed a PCR result (from a drop-in clinic) from within the last 48 hours and then a lateral flow from that morning. He found a local testing centre that were able to do it for him on the appropriate afternoon. I think though that as the Cup Final was a 'test event', he was able to get it done free of charge by booking through the govt website. https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/286057-lateral-flow-test-printed-result/#findComment-1515352 Share on other sites
dresswaves
Southwark test centres seem to be London Bridge Station & Bournemouth Road. https://www.southwark.gov.uk/health-and-wellbeing/coronavirus/get-a-free-covid-19-test/book-a-test-if-you-don-t-have-symptoms/mass-testing Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/286057-lateral-flow-test-printed-result/#findComment-1515377 Share on other sites
Siduhe
Different venues have different requirements, but if you only need a lateral flow test (and not a PCR or both PCR and lateral flow) then you'll need to go to a test centre and give an email contact only for your test result. They should email the result in a couple of hours which you can then print off.https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing/test-results/how-you-get-your-test-result/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/286057-lateral-flow-test-printed-result/#findComment-1515385 Share on other sites

FredCasa
Related question: where can you get a negative lateral flow test certificate for travel to France? AlanMBarr
Unless rules have changed in the past month it's PCR test you need to get to France or a very specific level of lateral flow test that meets certain criteria. My understanding is that type of lateral flow test is not readily available. FredCasa
Rules have changed. You need a lateral flow test less than 48 hours old to get into France (fully vaccinated). In Italy, France etc pharmacies can give you a certificate. Day Lewis say they may start this service, but very vague about it. AlanMBarr
Excellent news. Thanks for the update Fred. Then I'm looking for the same thing as you! I can't find a non NHS lateral flow test provider anywhere. I'll keep searching. AlanMBarr
Fred. It seems that some of the bigger Boots Chemists at the main London train stations (though none south of the river!) are doing lateral flow tests - but at ?60!!!! that's only ?5 less than their at home PCR test at ?65. Add in your cost of going into town and suddenly the same price. Here's hoping something local and cheaper appears on the horizon soon. AlanMBarr
Just found doctap.co.uk. A number of locations round London ?49. Bit cheaper than Boots.
