Oh dear, DM, it must have been catastrophic. Were the last pair of Jimmy Choo's in the sale snatched before your very eyes? Never mind, just feast your eyes on the Bavarian Boy and remind yourself that at least sartorial elegance cannot be wrested from you.

* drags self in, shoulder first like one of Peter Lorre's finest frankenstein's servants *

* spies the kettle, gets a glass, adds honey, lemon, cloves and whisky *

* wraps self in blanket and hopes to sweat it all out [4th day of temperature waaaaah] *

* joins DM in a lupine howl of self pity *

* looks about pathetically in the hope that someone will make a nice salad out of that unusual looking luttuce plant, I've some top notch olive oil you know *

    • out of interest, any ballpark figure on how many reactions you have done today? Seems like a software blip rather than a likely restriction (didn't someone else start a thread recently along same lines?)
    • Did you query the tissues and sand?
    • I just tried to "like" a post and I got a message saying I could not add any more reactions today. Is this a new rule, or have I just been more restrained in the past?!  No idea why that last bit is underlined . ..
    • I have swum in it several times since it's reopened.  No problems.  The sand stuff is a bit off-putting but like all pools they'll have to test and log the water quality regularly so I think it's unlikely to be a health issue.  The water is clearer than a pool I use regularly near my work - also with no issues.
