Both my car and home insurance is coming up for renewal ..... and I thought I would look around to compare what I am paying at present to what is avialable.

I wondered if anyone could share any companies / websites they have used.

Our home insurance is through Halifax and is around ?80 pounds a month - does this seem relative to what others pay?

My car insurance is through Quinn, (an Irish company) that will no longer be operating from March so I need to look at this.

We also seem to have a policy for Thames water which relates to plumbing / pipes bursting on the properyt - (I must check this specificaly) but is this something that seems relevant? I think the overall policy is ?80 per annum, but I am wondering if when we received our mortgage this was bundled in!

Any advice or ideas appreciated.

    • Why are you so rude? What has race got to do with anything? That's got nothing to do with whether or not a description is posted on here  The OP said the cyclist was being pursued by the police. If that's the case, then the police will presumably have his  description, including skin colour  If you think you encountered the same cyclist and could have been seriously hurt, then tell the police. And you have lost your bet, btw. You know nothing at all about me or my background except what I have posted on this forum,  and are making assumptions based on what appears to be a total lack of understanding of the reasons for my posts.
    • Worth posting on local street Whatsapp groups? Guessing no info from door knocking.  Those def look like unneutered Tom cat cheeks. Would be brilliant if a rescue could trap and at least neuter and return if he's a stray. Ideally find him a home - he'll settle more when neutered. Poor chap xxx    HP
