Looking for someone to lay a wooden floor

Hi

We are wanting to put a new wooden floor down. Probably we will get pre-finished planks, most likely oiled.

We want someone who will do a really good and careful job, ensuring all the correct steps are taken to ensure it won't warp!

Has anyone had anyone do a really great job lately? Looking for recommendations. Some charge a fortune, others seem not to know about how wood needs to be treated and this is a big investment so we want it done properly!!

Thanks so much

Dear Lucy

My husband is a hardwood floorlayer with over 40 years experience of laying hardwood floors, having learnt his trade from his father. He also lays prefinished flooring and would be happy to come over to you and give advice and an estimate.

Hi Lucy...just used Prestige Wooden Floors , they fitted a new oak floor in our dining room and restored our solid French oak kitchen floor..they were both reasonably priced and have carried out a great job

Global issues all play their own parts (as they do with other countries) but the UK govt had  been especially abject for years. Improvements could not be made with them in power. That's not to say everything is all roses when they go To claim parties shouldn't try and sell themselves in an election is absurd - but if labour did overpromise or dig into specifics (which they partly couldn't because they didn't have their hands on the books) then we live in a country where a population and media is happy to punch on them and relect the shabby last govt I mean if any argument I made was supported by some posters I would rethink it but thats just me
