Nik
Very short notice I know, but I have 2 tickets (near half way line in East Stand) available for the 5.15pm match against Middlesborough this afternoon. I live in East Dulwich, so if you are local and wanting to go, there would still be time... Marmora Man
???? Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Why am I not surprised East Dulwich is teeming> with Arsenal supporters.....What's wrong with that? Tickets I've been seeking are for my son who loves football and "inherited" his fandom of Arsenal from his grandfather who's been following them since 1932, so between them they've clocked up 80+ years of support. (I don't "get" football but do watch now I have an active supporter / player who can explain the offside [and other] rules to me - tho' today's offside decision against Arsenal in the game was clearly wrong!!) Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Nothing 'wrong' with that, I'm just not surprisedI think you'll find there are more glorying hunting plastic Man Ure and Lokomotiv Fulham fans in ED than loyal gooners, who, like me, originally come from North London and have been going to home and away games since 1968. Interesting how many blue Chavski shirts suddenly flooded the streets after they bought the title two years on the trot. Peckhamgatecrasher
Surely you don't need reminding that Arsenal started out as a Souf London club? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2836-arsenal-tickets/#findComment-87623 Share on other sites
SeanMacGabhann
my affiliation with the Arse started as a wee boy in Ireland when Arsenal had 6 outfield Irish players and an Irish managerthe fact that they are of south London origin and I live in south London now is merely a footnote. The fact that they are by far (on their day) the most entertaining football team known to man is a joy Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2836-arsenal-tickets/#findComment-87627 Share on other sites
Marmora Man
Further to PGC's reminder that Arsenal are a south London team - it reminds me that my great grandfather moved from Birmingham to work at Woolwich Arsenal. He was noted in the 1867 census in Brum as a "Gun Barrel Grinder" and was presumably an Arsenal football supporter too, giving my son's enthusiasm for them even more legitimacy - despite being born in Barnstaple. atila the gooner
I notice it took the fake ronaldo 5 goes to get a goal on saturday, because he is such a lethal finisher. But be fair, Man Ure were playing the might Derby!!!! I also notice Fergusmoan has still not had the grace to apologise for his apoplectic outburst following the Pompey game. No surprise there then.Edited because of rubbish spelling Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2836-arsenal-tickets/#findComment-87766 Share on other sites

Annasfield
I do find it ironic that for someone who has a problem with another person moaning does plenty themselves..... ::o*putsontinhatsmilie* Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2836-arsenal-tickets/#findComment-88022 Share on other sites
atila the gooner
I'm sure most scousers are full of nothing but admiration for Fergusmoan, yet seem to have a problem when somebody other than them says anything about him. We do live in a funny old world. I'm sure he'll have some choice words of wisdom ahead of the game with yourselves at the weekend. Annasfield
I have no problem with you moaning about Ferguson, in fact I often agree with some of the things you say. As it says on the tin, I just find it ironic that you constantly moan about someone who moans.Nothing to do with being a Manc, Scouser or Cockney/Londoner. atila the gooner
Anna, I wasn't having a go at scousers, it's just that there are certain forumites on here that have a bad effect on me and I'm sure you can guess who they are. You're not one of them by the way. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2836-arsenal-tickets/#findComment-88059 Share on other sites
