Ideas for birthday presents

Hello, I'm looking for ideas for a birthday present. One of my friends has a special birthday soon and I'd like to send her something special up to about ?40. Any ideas gratefully received :)

I love suggesting gift ideas but we possibly need to know a little more about your friend (interests, rough age bracket?)

I gave someone one of these for Xmas and it was a hit, but your friend would need to be able to put it somewhere outside.

Special t-shirt - there are some nice ones at the Horniman Farmers market or you can get one on line eg People's Republic of South London. Through advice on this forum I bought a mate who'd hit 50 one with a Ford Capri.

My neighbour told me about these beautiful glass vases for growing an acorn into an oak tree (!) or an avocado stone into a plant!

I'm going to get some of the avocado ones for birthday presents.
