100 per cent agree.:)(tu)

Budget Live!! (a la daily mash) http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/politics/politics-headlines/budget-live!-20080312789/

1232: British economy like an injured greyhound, says Darling

1248: Gordon Brown pushes chancellor out of the way and tells him he's 'doing it all wrong'.

1254: Pledge to abolish poor children. 'They're so horrid' says chancellor

1306: Glasgow-London journey time reduced to 'less than two weeks'

1320: Cigarettes to be sold from box full of cobras

Is it just me or is the daily mash the best site on the internet at the moment?

I could easily make cuts elsewhere in the defence budget however - Eurofighter, Type 45s, Nimrod etc but that's the defence geek in me coming out. ID cards could be a big saver in the long term - the thru-life costs are enormous.

What makes you think I'm a She(?)

Oh, I know we are.

Some of the time I want to give an argument an airing and some of the time I want to try and work out why I think what I do and you're a useful sounding board and nearly always have something interesting and intelligent to say.

But, in the words of a crazy yank, if you want those nukes you'll have to pry them "from my cold, dead hands". Which shouldn't be too hard if I've been handling weapons-grade uranium! ;-)

Dave C - your quote just reminded me of another great and crazy yank (who I had the privilege to meet) - Bill Hicks

---------------

"I'll tell you, too, that's starting to depress me about UFO's, about the fact that they cross galaxies or wherever they come from to visit us and always end up in places like Fife, Alabama.

Maybe these are not super-intelligent beings, man. Maybe they're like hillbilly aliens. Some intergalactic Joade family or something.

"Don't you all want to land in New York, or L.A.?"

"Nah, we just had a long trip, we gonna kick back and whittle some."

Oh, my God, they're idiots.

"We're gonna enter our mothership in the tractor pull!"

My God, we're being invaded by rednecks. My biggest fear. Last thing I want to see is a flying saucer up on blocks in front of some trailer, you know?

Wouldn't that be depressing? Some bumper sticker on it - "They'll get my ray gun when they pry my cold, dead, eighteen-fingered hand off of it!"

Are you taking the proverbial? :-S

If that's a genuine compliment, thank you.

If you're being sarky, well, um, I don't know. Bugger off. ;-)

AI suggests: Upcycling old cheque books can involve repurposing the paper from old checks into creative items like notebooks, journals, art pieces, gift tags, bookmarks, decorative paper, or even small boxes, by cutting, decorating, and assembling the paper to create new functional or decorative objects, while ensuring any personal banking information is properly obscured or removed. And there is vid too
