is this about horse week at Lidl ? The peckham branch had a load of curry combs and hoof polish left unsold after the last horse special

I am a veg but refuse to get involved in the self rightous bickering that invariably ensues with both equally antagonistic trolltastic sides of the discussion. bludz. innit.

Given some of the awful practices that go on in the industry, it doesn't really surprise me that a horse or two found their way into the grinder. It certainly doesn't shock me as much as the rotten chickens being bleached, or the rare breed pigs that were butchered alive by thieves.

Actually, I'd have no problem eating horse in theory. In fact if Sainos started selling horse burgers, I'd probably buy some just to try.

Excellent work with the title! Although I was pleased to see Lidl wasn't actually involved (unless I've missed something).

Don't really see what all the fuss is about.

I remember when I was in Australia, foolishly saying to my mate "what the f**ks a roo sausage?"

He looked at me (quite understandably) like I was a moron. Then it dawned on me, and I felt reluctant to buy them.

Later that day after a couple of beers by the pool, I barely noticed the difference at the barbie.

    • CIC is not the appropriate vehicle for a fund-raising intermediary.  CICs are for businesses that typically sell something or provide a service for social good  but are not for profit; a community cafe or arts centre, or an IT skills training centre for  unemployed people. it costs £65 to set up  a CIC, the scrutiny is less than for a full charity, and the administrative burden is pretty low if you don’t file accounts. It’s hard to prove a negative, but if you were trying to build a credible, positive case for giving money to street collectors for CityHive CIC, that might be a little harder still… tho thank you, Zahid for joining the Forum to give it a go.

    • Umm think this was covered in the previous post??
    • If you're a fundraising intermediary, reporting promptly and accurately on how you've raised and spent funds seems quite important.
