Montessori Nurseries

Recommended Posts

Hi ED,

Has anyone had any experience with the Montessori nurseries around? Would love to hear about your experience if you've had your kid in any of these:

- Dulwich Oak nursery,

- Dulwich Montessori nursery,

- Under the Willow and

- Cute Kids.

Or if there is any other nursery that you recommend.

Many thanks!

I would highly recommend the Half Moon Montessori (from 2+) in Herne Hill. The staff are so dedicated and absolutely committed to the children and the nursery. They have been wonderful with my daughter and I can't wait for my son to start. It may not have the flashiest facilities but the staff more than make up for that by being so nurturing and supportive.

    • They seem to think that it's residents are green. As in naive that is given the amount of dishonesty and cobblers that they come out with. Its like buzzword bingo. Sustainable, organic, green, stake holders, local jobs blah blah blah. Absolute cobblers and box ticking.
    • Surely it has to be "the knocking shop" (1860s slang) as it is the oldest profession around 😅 It always surprised me that one used to operate on Bawdale Road, just around the corner from the old police station (so I've been told 🤭)
    • The closing date from the survey is in two days.
    • I don't think the baths have been "in continuous operation"? They were closed for renovation. I can't remember exactly when, but I remember some "discussion" on here because the pool  could/should have been made longer and/or deeper, and wasn't. Itv certainly has a relatively shallow deep end, and it's a pity that people can't dive
