Could we re-punctuate that for you, Steve? I fear what Steve really means is...

"I have yet to find a woman. Who does not have icy feet, hands too for the most part?"

I'm sorry to hear the former, and as for your 2nd part, I can only answer the rhetorical question with an understanding sigh and a magnificently Gallic shrug.

You've knocked all the goodness out of it now, Moos. I wish I had never spoke or posted.

My English teacher complained frequently about the state of my punctuation, it being almost non-existent, 'yeah what ya' gonna do' you can't teach an old git new tricks.

Whats more I prefer 'English shrugs' all this foreign stuff has got way out of hand with Garlic bread and such like.

Oh Steve, have I blighted your afternoon with my thoughtless unkindness? Bad me, it was not my intention. Have a nice cup of tea, I was just warming my hands on one.

Amazing how teachers moan, isn't it? My physics teacher was always telling me off for my lack of knowledge of physics. At the time, I just cowered in a corner and hoped he would go away. I wish I had had the courage to respond 'WELL, TEACH ME SOME, THEN'.

Not at all blighted dear Moos, I am made up of much sterner stuff than to take offence over such trifles.

I did not dare to answer back to the teachers, and I would never have thought up something as good as that, but had I done so, and said it, I would have been caned or slippered for being a 'lippy little sod' or rather a troublesome pupil. Quite right too!

I am so with you on that one! Mrs Keef bought me this great pillow case with some sort of cooling material, and it's lovely!

    • I started a new topic and would love to see you all pop over to help me- I think some excellent ideas are here. I'm keen to get in touch with the lease owners.
    • Hey all, Does anyone know how best to contact The Dulwich Estate or Stonegate? I'm a local entrepreneur with an idea for redeveloping the Derelict Grove Tavern.  Thanks,  Dean
    • If they have altered the state of at least part of Peckham Rye with their anti-flooding measures then perhaps they should alter the planting in that area to take account of the more marshy ground. I am sure that the horticulturalists in The Horniman Park (who do create different habitats) could advise - I assume for a price as consultants - for appropriate new planting to take account of any habitat changes. If it is to be water-logged for considerable periods then it's use as playing fields would need to be re-examined. Perhaps water polo? Actually this is quite a serious issue - I used to play sport in an area of water meadow where a boy drowned in the mud under a collapsed scrum.
    • I was wondering if they were ever going to fix the boardwalk over the pond in Dulwich Park.
