Hey!

Could really do with an Ethernet to Thunderbolt adapter to borrow for a few days or buy if anyone has one?

Looks like this:

I think your suggestion is utterly despicable. Whilst I have no sympathy for Amazon, there are many small retailers trying to make a living from selling on line. On-line retail is highly competitive with very narrow margins. Postage is a very large element in their cost base where the value of the item sold is fairly low.

The retailer has to meet the cost of the outgoing postage plus the return postage. For a small parcel this amounts to ?6.40. That's a massive loss on an item retailing, at say, ?10 to ?30. On average they would have to make another 10 sales just to cover the loss on one return.

You should be thoroughly ashamed for making that suggestion on a public forum.

Bringing community spirit back to areas in London - and showing a police presence if only for a few hours a month.
