1921
Hi Has anyone on the 50-60 age bracket, without underlying medical conditions been contacted as yet? Several friends who are with Herne Hill Practice have already had theirs but we have heard nothing, I don't want to call as they are so busy, but equally they are not the best in terms of service, so don't want to be missed either.Thank you Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/278849-dulwich-medical-centre-50-covid-vaccine-anyone-been-contracted/ Share on other sites
KidKruger
I know several people in that age bracket registered with DMC who have not heard anything and are wondering the same. tiddles
Yes Same here - however you can book it yourself by going on www.nhs.UK - we booked both vaccines yesterday! Good luck Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/278849-dulwich-medical-centre-50-covid-vaccine-anyone-been-contracted/#findComment-1495225 Share on other sites

Ruffler
I booked mine via the NHS link above. I chose a time and date to suit and had my jab yesterday at a local pharmacy. Excellent service. I was literally in and out in five minutes. heartblock
Book with NHS website. Both appts will be given to you ... pharmacists and some hospitals. Nigello
Slots for aged 56+ (not 50--55) are only just open so I'd say that DMC is not doing anything out of the ordinary by not contacting people until their bracket is "open". mancity68
Yes, I have. Although, weirdly, my partner who is in the 60+ bracket still hasn?t been contacted by DMC yet - although he was contacted by NHS centrally. Nigello
Perhaps people with ongoing conditions and/or had treatment at a hospital are contacted by that specialist department? It's highlighted again the lack of a central database for all NHS patients. Imagine if there were a way of punching in your NHS No. and finding all your treatments, diagnoses, etc. (even dental). Hell of a task but I think it would save time and money in the long run. Bic Basher
Those who are booking appointments via the NHS website should be offered Rosendale Road as their first option.I was speaking to a friend over 60 who had his at Rosendale Road, but his older sister had hers at TJC via the GP. 1921
Thanks everyone, we are not 56+ but odd that a friend who was 50 last week was offered her jab 2 days later when they haven't opened it up. Will keep an eye on the lower end of the 50+ age bracket being opened. tomskip
You don't need to know your NHS number to book on the website. Anyone aged 56 upwards is invited to book now, you can book both appointments at the same time. It's a doddle and very quick.I booked mine several days ago and received a letter today inviting me to book. Bit of a waste of resources but as nothing compared to the terrible amount of waste associated with the pandemic so far. muffins78
DMC contacted me in January via text to ask whether I wanted the vaccine, saying that they?d be in touch once an appt was available. subsequently I got an appt in Kings. I don?t know whether DMC passed my details on to Kings, but the Kings message did not seem connected to the DMC invite. If DMC/kings invites are not connected, I haven?t heard from DMC since. So she ended up booking via the website.
