Adam
Hi allMy parents are looking for a good solicitor to advise on obtaining the ?right to manage? from their freeholder. Situation is particularly difficult with freeholder being MYN (awful to deal with). Others may have useful experiences to share. This is a big ongoing stress for my parents and the other leaseholders.Grateful for any help or advice. Many thanks! SpringTime
http://www.mynproperties.com/MYN has given right to manage over to leaseholders in the past whilst retaining the freehold. Local leaseholders in SE22 have achieved this. But do you still want him as a freeholder? If not then have you looked at going full on and buying the freehold yourselves? You'd have share of freehold and run your own leases. And that should mean no more MYN and probably less hassle. JohnL
At least it's a property company - some freeholders are just there to pick up the ground rent and whatever else they can get. apbremer
From my experience I recall that the freeholder can usually organise a single insurance policy for the whole building and pick up a whacking commission.
