You might be interested to know that a new group called The Friends of Goose Green has been formed. Their aims are:

1 - To protect, conserve and enhance Goose Green as a place of freedom, recreation, and enjoyment for the long term benefit of all sections of the local community, and to preserve and promote its aesthetic and historical character and context,

2 - To ensure that Goose Green children's playground meets the needs of its users as a place of play and recreation

Attached is the FoGG constitution as both a Word document and a PDF file for your perusal which explain more about the group.

What you want a 180grand fence and a new playground ? You'll be asking for a 5million referb of the ED sportscenter next....

You would have to shut the Livesey Museum to fund all this. And we all know that this museum gives the kids in the estates round the Queens road Peckham and the Old Kent road somewhere educational ,and within walking distance, to visit.......they would not shut it would they ?

As Nick Clegg just said - Sunday 09/03

"Money taken from the poorest kids and given to the richest adults, no questions asked.

"Gutless, heartless, incompetent."

    • I have had this many times at Superdrugs on LL. I find it disorganised and many times I was yelled at 'we are closing in 5 min' when I entered after work on my way home. I don't mind being told that they are closing soon, but not the way they did it.  I try to avoid it now and go to the store in Peckham which I find fab with bigger selection and prices correctly noted.
    • Jo Berry and her inspirational story come tomorrow on PECKHAM PODCAST. If you're not familiar with it, try it. An audience of locals were rapt. Their Q+A ran an hour. Available from midday: https://www.youtube.com/@PECKHAMPODCAST-r2f
    • Couldn't agree more with the recommendations for Greg and Raven Plumbing & Heating. Swift and accurate communications, speedy diagnosis of the issue with our ancient boiler, and a well-priced solution identified and put in place. All topped by friendly and helpful face-to-face interactions with Greg and his team. Thanks again, guys!
    • Not sure if this has already been posted, but players are needed for a league that is being put on by Go Mammoth. Players can sign up as a team or individuals for a Men's Monday Nights or a Mixed Tuesday Nights league. It's on a new indoor pitch apparently. https://www.gomammoth.co.uk/5-a-side-football/dulwich-north/?leagueid=2374
