TonyQuinn
Lombok has been a great delivery service for a number of years but I feel now its time has come. 3rd time running I have been informed after I have made the offer that cards and cheques are not accepted. Unacceptable waste of my time. Time taken to write this out is less than the time I lost talking to them. Service is going downhill for some reason or other and the manager was not availabe {again} to discuss matters. TonyQuinn
The only form of payment in 2013 was cash.....surely as a specific only delivery service, they should be equipped with all the modern mod-cons. Get real mate..... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27812-lombok/#findComment-605714 Share on other sites
oliviaandmilo
I agree with Lane lover..Get a grib..use cash instead of card SIMPLEThis post is absoulety ridiculous Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27812-lombok/#findComment-605715 Share on other sites
TonyQuinn
Its not ridiculous at all....for once I'm not carrying hundreds of pounds of cash on my person so thought I could, as i have on a number of occasions with Lombok, pay by card. Clearly, they should like, Thai Corner Cafe say they don't accept cards. No big deal. Where I've gone wrong I have no idea, but maybe you complainants are all Clapham-originates. lane lover
TonyQuinn, you must love Lombok if you need hundreds of pounds to pay for your meal. You are only making yourself look worse. Have a glass of wine, watch some TV and go to bed.Or move to Clapham ... TonyQuinn
Cash is king but sometimes you need a prince especially when you have young family at home and can't pop out to the cashpoint. Mick Mac
Maybe the thread should be "avoid Lombok if you can't pay by cash". Otherwise it seems Tony is a regular customer and must like the food? TonyQuinn
No, they told me on each occasion that the machine wasn't working. Don't think it's just a case of me being unlucky. KidKruger
Tony.If I was you I would use cash next time. You're repeatedly using their service so must be happy with their food ?In my view it's a little harsh to recommend to 1000s of users that they AVOID a food outlet because you got pissed-off that they won't take card payments.Have you told the manager of Lombok you've started this thread ?I think you've over-reacted and should delete/amend your OP headline, it's just not reasonable. fluffy
Yes that is frustrating that the machine doesn't work, but you know that so why not just go to the cash point on your way home instead of ranting on here? A simple heads up about the machine would have been more than adequate.I'll still be ordering from Lombok, the food is lovely and I have no issue paying cash as my meals don't cost hundreds of pounds. The service from the delivery guys and the guys on the phone has always been fine. TonyQuinn
That was the best response on this thread and headline will be amended. Anyone who can't see the hundreds of pounds comment as pure humour needs to get out more.KidKruger Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Tony.> If I was you I would use cash next time.> You're repeatedly using their service so must be> happy with their food ?> > In my view it's a little harsh to recommend to> 1000s of users that they AVOID a food outlet> because you got pissed-off that they won't take> card payments.> > Have you told the manager of Lombok you've started> this thread ?> I think you've over-reacted and should> delete/amend your OP headline, it's just not> reasonable. TonyQuinn
I have over-reacted. That's not something you read on this forum ever is it? And have asked Mr/Mrs/Ms Administrator to delete the thread.KidKruger Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Tony.> If I was you I would use cash next time.> You're repeatedly using their service so must be> happy with their food ?> > In my view it's a little harsh to recommend to> 1000s of users that they AVOID a food outlet> because you got pissed-off that they won't take> card payments.> > Have you told the manager of Lombok you've started> this thread ?> I think you've over-reacted and should> delete/amend your OP headline, it's just not> reasonable. KidKruger
obviously the hundreds of pounds bit was neither here nor there, and if that's how much you spend on take aways that's up to you (you'd need to be seriously peckish, tho).people were just picking on that as an extra, two-for-the-price-of-one, dig.
