Guest
Oatlatte I have replied to the other parallel thread on the VAERS data from the USA. I understand your rationale point because as I said I have an autoimmune condition and my decision is not to have the vaccine at this stage. I can also understand and sympathise with your anxiety. We are all anxious because of the pandemic and the lockdown but as far as I am concerned my autoimmune disease has taught me to reject anxiety as the most useless of human feelings, it triggers cortisol, it makes any of my flare ups worse, it interferes with what I eat and how I sleep. So please if you have an autoimmune condition, avoid it you too. If you do not have any disease ... avoid it twice! You (and your family) should consider having the vaccine because it is good for you to prevent hospitalisation in case you get Covid and fall very ill, unless you have other priority reasons for not having it. Billion of people are gonna get it! The absolute majority of people who had the vaccine did not get anything else than a sore arm for few days. Presidents, PMs, the Queen, lot of celebrities had already have it. Come on! Nobody will ever ask us a covid vaccine passport. If somebody does we will say we do not have it. That's all. Good night. OatLatte
A digital Covid vaccination passport is being jointly developed by a group of health and technology companies who anticipate that governments, airlines and other firms will soon start asking people for proof that they have been inoculated.A coalition known as the Vaccination Credential Initiative ? which includes Microsoft, Salesforce and Oracle, as well as U.S. health care non-profit Mayo Clinic ? was announced on Thursday. The VCI said it wants to develop technology that enables individuals to obtain an encrypted digital copy of their immunization credentials that can be stored in a digital wallet of their choice, such as the Apple Wallet or Google Pay.The Digital Vaccine was commissioned by the government https://thecommonsproject.org/commonpassbefore we even had the vaccine, you will hear lots about digital passports in the next few weeks, its the topic for this mornings BBC Radio London. So it will not be your choice if you don't want to take an experimental drug. Digital passports is also just a covert way to implement a digital ID. Penguin68
There have only been 906 Deaths and 3126 Severe reactions in USA from the Vaccine up till 12th Feb so it is fairly safe.I don't think that is right. There have certainly been that number of deaths reported in people who have been recently vaccinated - but given the cohort being vaccinated (elderly, with underlying medical conditions) and the very large numbers involved, that's probably the natural death rate for that cohort, vaccine or no. If there had been 906 (or whatever large number) of deaths which were directly attributable to the vaccine (i.e. probably derived at this stage from excess deaths over the expected number for that cohort) they would have halted the vaccine programme. So I think you are probably safer than even this poster believes. I would expect the 'reported death rate' of vaccinated to fall as the cohort ages do. OatLatte
Its very clear the ages and the description of what happened to each of these people after their injection with mRNAhttps://www.medalerts.org/vaersdb/findfield.php?EVENTS=on&PAGENO=12&PERPAGE=10&ESORT=NONE&REVERSESORT=&VAX=(COVID19)&VAXTYPES=(COVID-19)&L_THREAT=No&DIED=Yes If you dont want to risk your Families Health as most people recover from Covid with just mild symptoms it seems wrong to coerce people to take it by implementing digital passports. Penguin68
to each of these people after their injection with mRNAafter but not necessarily caused by. The site you choose to use is one dedicated to justify non-take up of vaccinations (in general) - that is a perfectly good civil liberties stance to take, but is driven by politics (small p) and not science. 'Most' people don't recover from Covid - if they are elderly or have many underlying conditions. Sadly some who are both young and fit also suffer badly, and may die. The position taken by your source is that no one owes anything to society - if you are not going to be very ill with Covid then it's fine for you to have it and very possibly infect some other poor sucker who will be very ill, but why should you care so long as 'Your Family's' health is protected?Your choice, but I think if society then decides to exclude you from its nightclubs and pubs and sports grounds and airports because you rate yourself higher than them, well don't whinge. If you can make selfish judgements on your behalf. so can the rest of society. I know we dont know if this will affect their fertility later on as we dont have a long term study but the manufacturer says it's safe and effective so it must be. Siduhe
Can we please keep this thread to what it was intended for - a useful place to share information about actual side effects suffered by actual people who have had an actual vaccine. There's an existing thread in the Lounge for all the discussion about those wish not to take it and would like the rest of us to either do the same or validate their decision (and/or just sh*t stir with increasingly wild anti-vac theories that have no basis in fact) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/277644-side-effects-post-vaccine/page/2/#findComment-1492703 Share on other sites

Chocolate
I havent been offered the vaccine as of yet but have never taken any jabs except the last was a BCG. I do not think people should be forced into having vaccine, every people?s choice, do we not have a decision any more or is that taken away from us? I understand who wants to take it, to protect themselves but it doesnt stop you from catching it or spreading Covid. I am not one of these people against the vaccine or believe in all the social media but I still think we should decide for ourselves and make our own decision. Penguin68
there is no way for the Virus to know when a child turns 18 and becomes a super spreader, i know they have to wear masks now in school but surely we must give them this new drug to protect the community. (1) - It seems very unlikely, given the way that the virus evolves, that any vaccine given to a young child (or indeed to me, or you) will be relevant in perhaps 10 years time. Like flu, it is seems very possible that we will need a new vaccine possibly every year. AZ is now working on a vaccine for September to pick up on the SA variant which appears less susceptible to current vaccines.(2) - Research is now going on to see whether vaccines will work/ are safe, on children - if they do and are I expect to see children vaccinated - as we now see for flu.(3) As a matter of record I think it is secondary school children who are expected to wear masks, not primary.(4) - The UK reports on Covid deaths currently state that the patient died having tested positive for Covid within 28 days. Causation may be implied, but it's not stated. The death reports are an attempt to be as 'honest' as you can be about the Covid impact (possibly partly at least to justify the concentration of medical resource there and not on other diseases such as heart disease and cancer).(5) The CDC (the primary source of your information, but not its collation and presentation) isn't anti-vaccine, clearly, but your source (possibly) is (although their formal schtick is about civil liberties). You are right that we don't know of any impact on fertility (although it's not clear what the mechanism for that could be) - we don't know of its impact on loads of other things either, good or bad - but fertility is a good scare area, isn't it?Assuming you have no underlying health problems which lead your doctors to advise against having the vaccine, choosing not to have it can be understood to be an act of personal selfishness - in the end relying on either not being that sick yourself, or in others protecting you by having the vaccine - if society (probably not HMG itself) decides that without the vaccine you are (or may be) a danger to others, and excludes your from parts of the public experience because of that - well that, like not having a vaccine, is your choice - and that, equally, like choosing to have a vaccine, is theirs.Edited to add - apologies for extending this debate away from the very useful exchange of information on actual side-effects (or lack of them) of readers of this board. Guest
Hello Admin you are doing a very hard job. But it seems to me you overreacted in this occasion. Please consider that you deleted messages that reported information relevant to this thread and the other parallel thread on Covid vaccine. Namely, you deleted messages containing data: - about side effects from people with other conditions living locally (that is what this thread wanted to share) - about side effects reported and recorded into the American official CDC VIERS database (and further extrapolation of information from specialist sources)- about wishes for people to get vaccinated asap especially if belonging to certain categories / groups- about decisions not to get the vaccine and the rationale behind such decisions- about fears to get the vaccine- about fears to have the need for a covid-19 passport. I was particularly interested, as I said, in understanding more about side effects in people with autoimmune diseases but I can tolerate the fact that people post whatever they perceive and believe is relevant or pertinent including their fears. You have the big picture and you can see if and how often somebody tries to post misleading data but in this occasion I really did not see any truly misleading data, as the only source cited was a public database from the United States' Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that is the US national public health institute. We should all remind ourselves the rationale behind health policies. I think everybody can improve the understanding of their own health condition, starting with very common feelings of anxiety. This is impossible if you delete the messages! The free discussions help to this extent. Cancelling, denying, censoring or covering up what we fear or dislike does not help feeling less anxious. Neither eliminating data on side effects helps at all reaching out communities that reject the idea of vaccination for ideological, religious or other irrational reasons - on the contrary, it gives them more instrumental arguments to remain fixated with their ideas, since there is no possibility to discuss openly what they believe or what they know. So all in all, if you could reconsider your decision and reinstate the messages I think you would do a good thing, allowing people to be more relaxed and responsibly post what they think is pertinent and important to the point. Many thanks. Have a lovely evening. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/277644-side-effects-post-vaccine/page/2/#findComment-1492806 Share on other sites

Pugwash
I have had vaccine with no side effects. I have friends who are on warfarin/anti coagulants who are unsure whether to take vaccine and are in contact with their GP as to whether the risk of side effects were greater than that of catching covid. There are many people for medical reasons are unable to have the jab and the majority of us who have had the vaccine will go a long way of protecting these people. My godson when he was less than 2 weeks old contracted meningitis and was in critical care for over a week - his parents were advised not to have any of the usual childhood vaccinations as he was a high risk of complications. Admittedly this was over 30 years ago and medical science has improved. indiepanda
Agree too. The nonsense that was being posted suggesting hundreds of people had died from the vaccine needed to be deleted. If anyone really wants the facts, please go to YouTube and look at the Zoe channel and listen to Prof. Tim Spector. Through the ZOE app je and his team have been collecting amd analysing dsta from hundreds of thousands of people in the UK who have had the vaccine and have been asked to report what side effects (if any) people have suffered. This is the same app that identified loss of sense of smell as a Covid symptom and got the government to add it as a symptom that can get you a Covid test. It affects different people in different ways. And many people must have spread it because, as their symptoms weren't in those four, they couldn't get a test, and also assumed they must have some other virus, and didn't self isolate.
