Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good solicitor for a very straightforward leasehold extension (already agreed so just need someone to complete the formalities/paperwork)

I can?t I?m afraid. But just be aware that there is an over 12 month backlog at Land Registry even when you do sort the agreement. Been waiting that long for one ~ although they will expedite if you can show proof of eg a mortgage offer that depends on it.

Do you know if that means a straightforward house purchase is also a year wait to get the titles updated so the sale can complete ? Or is the delay you mentioned specific to lease extensions ?

I don?t think it is affecting completions but always worth checking with conveyancing solicitor.
