siousxiesue
Has anyone on here had a bathroom revamp and decided against having a bath? I'm really undecided, but never take a bath! (the waste of water mainly)If you have done this and regretted it tell me why? The room is small with no window and I think it could look great with the right builder, but I want opinions Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/277188-bathroom-revamp/ Share on other sites
KidKruger
I redid my bathroom 5yrs ago, to provide my first ever shower !I also made provision for a Bath, a lovely roll top claw feet number.Thing is, I haven?t plumbed the Bath in yet, and that?s after being a Bath-fiend all my life 🤣Would only take a day or so (need to get through 9? wall and fit the waste pipes etc).So baths not essential IMO. mancity68
In same dilemma but have ultimately decided to get rid of bath and have big walk in shower. Been in my house 10 years and not used bath once. If whoever buys the house next wants one, they can easily put back in. Pugwash
We are lucky to have a downstairs shower room and loo, upstairs bathroom has a bath which has not been used for about 10 years plus. Hubby and I have difficulty with arthritis in legs and hips to actually get in bath We have a bath seat which has never been used. I was advised many years ago by my GP to avoid baths as they aggregated my skin which was prone to rashes. Since having a shower, I have not had a repeat of this skin condition - I tell people that I have not had a bath for over 30 years! Gaynor Hill
Meant to say mine is small room with no windows looks so much better and my hubby has become disable so a bath would have been a nightmare Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/277188-bathroom-revamp/#findComment-1490538 Share on other sites
Seabag
We?ve got a ?bathless? shower room. It?s got a loo, and a basin + a nice walk in shower. It?s great! The other bathroom has a bath, but I only ever use it to shower in. However, baby boy is only 10 months, so it?s great for him. Other than that, no bath? No problemo! Are you thinking of selling anytime in the future?
