Hey kids - just wanted to say nice to discover that you are all really real on Friday night. didn't get a chance to speak to that many of you as I'm rubbish at mingling but BIG big up to the ED massive, I went home with a nice warm fuzzy feeling that the world is actually quite a nice place. stay gold :))
It is a good buzzy feeling isnt it Jubamyung. I'm abit like that amongst big crowds hence not getting to meet you but eventually you do get around to chatting to more people the more you make the effort to go. I love it and as usual Georgia and Mike did a great job on the organising front and the usual BIG UP to Mark the man that made it all happen.

Great night, now just need to think about the next one! Any ideas?

My suggestion would be The Magdala as that was our first venue over a year ago and it has plenty of space.

As for the date, would suggest 9th or 16th May.

Any comments / ideas?

As a regular of the CPT, it was a bit strange having the forum drinks there, I had some mates in the other side who were a bit shy to come and mingle, so I was trying to run in and out.

Mag works for me, as does the EDT, which seems to be the general back up place...

Or we could ask the Black Cherry to open exclusively for us!!!

I'm up for another one. The 16th is my birthday so that's either a very good or very bad reason for me to go out drinking with you lot....I'm not sure!

Not fussed for venue. Real ale in the Mag is a bit dodgy so I'd go for the EDT if those are the two choices. Have we done the Gowlett? They'll reserve us an area, the beer is great and it's my local. ;-)

9th is good for me - would have some chums with me as well.

The Herne would be good, not been there yet and it isnt too far away, although not on Lordship Lane - does people good to explore a little. Having said that, how big is it? The CPT started to feel a bit cramped as we had about 35 people in the back room. We need a bigger pub if numbers keep expanding. Summer drinks will be easier as we can expand into beer gardens.

or

The Mags - not been there for a while and it is the right size.

Great night once again. Always good to see everyone and I love the CPT. Got home around 9am and finally got into bed and probably spent most of the weekend there recovering but it was well worth it. 16th would be better for me as it is the day after payday. Mag or EDT would be more preferable but I don't mind the Herne either.

Agree, I don't like crowded places at all, which is why I could only stay in there for 5 minutes at a time before running outside for air and a fag!

    • Well yes.  But only up to a point eu countries have had to spend a LOT of money to accommodate English madness  - and has had to deal with years of incoherent positioning.  It has destabilised the EU as a group - or has at the very least distracted it and consumed bandwidth  which is why Putin was so pro-Brexit. Which enabled other subsequent events - it’s hard to imagine the world as it is now without Brexit.  A stronger EU.  Uk not a mess and in its own after multiple elections and way more prime ministers than 9 years could possibly allow   a stronger united front
