Child bike trailer/seat question

Not sure if I need to ask the question, but last time I owned a bike was when I was a child, apart from 1 day ownership (ended with bike being stolen),so I am unsure what to look for.I would like to buy one(used preferred) ,but would like to use it with a child bike trailer and child bike seat carrier .Is there any type of bike I should avoid or which bikes are best for the purpose ?Many Thanks

I don't know where you're based, but Bon Velo in Herne Hill is a great place to get advice (and bikes etc) about cycling with children. I've always found them very helpful.
