rosie_22
Beautiful antique Singer sewing machine table dated 1888 (derived from serial number).I?ve had this gorgeous sewing machine table for ten years but I?ve recently moved to a flat where it doesn?t quite work with the rest of the d?cor, so it?s time to pass it on to a new home. I?ve been using it purely decoratively, but the treadle and all the moving parts seem to work fine (although full disclosure ? I?m not an expert by any means). It?s not in pristine condition (probably not surprising given it?s 130+ years old), but I think it?s in pretty good nick for its age. Some wear and tear on the wooden tabletop, and a few areas on the black metal machine itself have rubbed away. The wrought iron stand appears to have been painted at some point in its history, and this is peeling away in patches too. Despite all of this, it?s a really lovely piece and I?m sad to be saying goodbye to it!This is collection-only (from Nunhead), and fair warning ? it?s pretty heavy! Probably a two man job.
