DJKillaQueen
ED does seem to be quite bad. I've noticed it too. There used to be some rule about depth and speed at which it should be repaired.Anyway...it's all here......http://www.southwark.gov.uk/news/article/150/reporting_potholes_is_easy Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27571-potholes/#findComment-603866 Share on other sites
ORC1
FM Conway contract manager is not the council, simply a contractor who tenedered and won the contract, They should not be determing what works should be undertaken ths should be the Highways inspectors. barriedalenick
You can always try http://www.fixmystreet.com or http://www.fillthathole.org.uk/hazards/reportI reported one on the South Circ and it was fixed in a couple of days. You do need to be specific though. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27571-potholes/#findComment-603980 Share on other sites
Medley
Report it using websites like those. Chances are they'll get patched, because once the Council has been notified it may be on the hook for legal claims from subsequent damage if it decides to ignore it. Huggers
these are very annoying! The other evening my heel went into a narrow but deep one one crossing the road at Peckham Rye just below Nigel road and I went flat on my face, as my foot was caught. Luckily no traffic. Louisa
I went into a pothole down in Orpington last week. They are dangerous even at a slow speed and cause some serious damage. Councils up and down the country have not been prepared for the recent cold spell of winters and the greater than average amount of settled snowfall which can contribute to these ghastly holes in the road. I think the councils are trying their best to be fair, there is only so much they can do with the funds they have. Annoying I know. Louisa.
