Finally you have made the forum page, with massive recommendations.

I had my garden totally revamp by Kyjah and his team, and I must say it was nothing short of amazing work and team work. They not only brought my vision to life but they took the time out to assist me in the buying of the material (as I did not have a clue).

They were recommended to me by a friend who insisted they create this page so that others can have the same experience I did.

Kyjah did some work for me a couple of months or so ago.

My garden had been a mess for years and I wanted to get some paving done to cover an old concrete and path area.

I had a few quotes from people and Kyjah?s was the most reasonable. He set a day for the works and ordered the bits needed a few days before.

He started the work on time and was there every day. He and his team were very reliable and did a fantastic job breaking up the old concrete and relaying a completely new patio and pathway. He recommended and helped me pick out tiles to use and let me know in the quote how much everything would cost so that there were no hidden charges.

Kyjah came recommended via a family member and I would highly recommend him. He was really friendly, reliable and did a fab job.

RECOMMENDATION!!!!!

I absolutely LOVED my garden after it was worked on by Kyjah and his team.

They totally redecorated and spruced up my garden. I can now relax and enjoy my space ( especially in these uncertain times).

A list of jobs that they did;

Fencing (redid the whole fence)

Patio - dug and reform the patio space

Decking - rebuilt and stained the decking, sourced out the decking board)

Sectioned off and put down Blooma Pebble stone

Any Landscaping/Garden work you need - I would recommend them👌🏽😁

I attached a photo so you can see the work 😁

Kyjah has just replaced the trellises on top of my garden wall. He has done a great job, quickly and efficiently. He took down the old trellis and took all the rubbish away. The new trellis looks perfect and is really sturdy.

He sorted out all the details in a thoughtful, helpful way and I thoroughly recommend him.

Adding another recommendation here. Kyjah and team have just removed our old fence and a huge amount of mature ivy that was pulling it all down. They replaced the fence, and levelled everything nicely.

Work was done on time and in budget. Great to work with, had suggestions and ideas, and generally collaborative approach.

Kyjah arranged for all waste to be taken away

Will be using him and his team again for further works.

I just thought I would post an update on my garden that Kijah did some work on. He came round yesterday to pay turf for me and did a brilliant job.

He laid the paving and now has done the turf.

He?s coming back to tackle the back of the garden !

I can?t recommend him enough. He?s reliable and reasonably priced and does a great job.

Once I?ve worked out how to post a photo with the size required I will post a pic

WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND KYJAH

I have been thoroughly impressed by Kyjah and his colleague. Earlier this year, he replaced some rotten fence posts and installed a new feather edge fencing panel in our back garden. His work is excellent - he managed to save the older panels, avoid damaging roses and other fence mounted greenery (a skill in itself) and complete the project in an afternoon to a high standard. Not only that, he was punctual, considerate, neat and professional to a fault. Our neighbours were very pleased and he was a delight throughout.

He went out of his way to odder advice on how to remove some old decking, even offering to loan me a specialist tool for free and has helped me to source material throughout a year of supply chain madness - he is a lovely guy.

Naturally, he was our first thought when we elected to replace our patio. Again, efficient and on time. The patio has uncovered a couple of issues (none of his making) so we have paused, but I was again very pleased with his and his colleagues work, the state they left the garden in and most importantly how generous he has been with his time helping to work through problems and provide solid advice.

We would not hesitate to use him again. He is always busy - the sign of a quality trade - but he manages to make time which is a great help.

An absolutely solid gold find on here.

Hi? Another very confident recommendation for Kyjah / Relax Gardens.

We had a an extension the garden was destroyed. Kyjah levelled the garden, painted supported fences, layed turf and put in borders.

Very considerate, cleaned up after working, ensured mess while working kept to a minimum. Very keen to ensure I was happy with everything. Reasonable price too!

I am now planning to do the front garden and will definitely be talking to Kyjah again

Kyjah just finished my garden and I can also highly recommend him/Relax Gardens. He was very helpful, reliable and communicative and the work was done to a high standard within my budget and looks great. His price was also the most reasonable quote I received. Found the recommendation on EDF based on the reviews above and I am very grateful.

Kyjah and Adrian have just finished an outstanding piece of work. They paved the front garden to create a hard standing for our car and paved a grass path in the back garden. They really went the extra mile to ensure we were happy with the result. They were adaptable, always willing to make changes and worked incredibly hard. We can't praise them highly enough

We can add to the recommendations for Kyjah from Relax Gardens who just finished paving our front garden (including a recessed manhole cover) and creating some flowerbeds using sleepers. Kyjah gave a very reasonable quote for the work and was flexible on start time. He and his colleague are friendly and hardworking and the quality of the work is excellent. They also worked very neatly in our small space and arranged for the rubbish to be removed, which was appreciated. Thank you Kyjah!

I would like highly recommend Kyjah, he is very attentive, professional and knows a great deal about his job. He did amazing work on my garden, he made my vision come alive. He listened and took his time to achieve the task. He communicated when the plans need to change. He is simply great at what he does. The recommendation is high.

Thank you so much Kyjah and Team,

You and the team were really efficient and reliable with replacing my fence which got blown down during Storm Jocelyn.

I appreciate all your hard work.

I would highly recommend for any Garden work.

Kyjah replaced a badly damaged fence for me recently with something much more sturdy which looks very good. Great job and reasonably priced, took a lot of care to keep to mess and disruption to a minimum, and arranged disposal of the old fence.  Would recommend.

Another very strong recommendation for Kyjah - a really lovely guy who is very conscientious and highly competent at what he does.

Kyjah laid a new Victorian path and did some other landscaping work at a very reasonable price, always taking time to explain what he was doing and making some great suggestions along the way. A real pleasure to have him around and he ensured everything was left clean and tidy afterwards.

I will be using him again when needed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

    • The issue must be everywhere at the moment. I was visiting a friend last week in Bermondsey, think we were walking  down Linton Rd & we dodged 7 dog poos. It was disgusting.
    • Thanks for your message — I actually took the time to look into what CityHive does before posting my original comment, and I’d encourage anyone with questions to do the same. Yes, the Companies House filings are overdue — but from what I’ve gathered, this seems likely to be an accountant or admin issue, not some sign of ill intent. A lot of small, community-based organisations face challenges keeping up with formalities, especially when they’re focused on immediate needs like food distribution. Let’s not forget CityHive is a not-for-profit, volunteer-powered CIC — not a corporate machine. As for the directors, people stepping down or being replaced is often about capacity or commitment — which is completely normal in the voluntary and community sector. New directors are sometimes appointed when others can no longer give the time. It doesn’t automatically mean bad governance — it just means people’s circumstances change. CityHive’s actual work speaks volumes. They buy most of the food they distribute — fresh produce, essential groceries, and shelf-stable items — and then deliver it to food banks, soup kitchens, and community projects across London. The food doesn’t stay with CityHive — it goes out to local food hubs, and from there, directly to people who need it most. And while yes, there may be a few paid staff handling logistics or admin, there’s a huge volunteer effort behind the scenes that often goes unseen. Regular people giving their time to drive vans, sort donations, load pallets, pack food parcels — that’s what keeps things running. And when people don’t volunteer? Those same tasks still need to be done — which means they have to be paid for. Otherwise, the whole thing grinds to a halt. As the need grows, organisations like CityHive will inevitably need more support — both in people and funding. But the bigger issue here isn’t one small CIC trying to make ends meet. The real issue is the society we live in — and a government that isn’t playing its part in eradicating poverty. If it were, organisations like CityHive, The Felix Project, City Harvest, FareShare, and the Trussell Trust wouldn’t need to exist, let alone be thriving. They thrive because the need is growing. That’s not a reflection on them — it’s a reflection on a broken system that allows people to go hungry in one of the richest cities in the world. If you're in doubt about what they’re doing, go check their Instagram: @cityhivemedia. You’ll see the real organisations and people receiving food, sharing thanks, and showing how far the impact reaches. Even Southwark Foodbank has received food from CityHive — that alone should speak volumes. So again — how does any of this harm you personally? Why spend time trying to discredit a group trying to support those who are falling through the cracks? We need more people lifting others up — not adding weight to those already carrying the load.
    • Well, this is very disappointing. Malabar Feast  has changed its menu again. The delicious fish curry with sea bass no longer exists. There is now a fish dish with raw mango, which doesn't appeal. I had dal and spinach instead, which was bland (which I suppose I could/should have predicted). One of my visitors had a "vegetable Biriani" which contained hardly any vegetables. Along with it came two extremely tiny pieces of poppadom in a large paper bag.   This was embarrassing, as I had been singing Malabar's praises and recommending we ordered from there. The other mains and the parathas were OK, but I doubt we will be ordering from there again. My granddaughters wisely opted for Yard Sale pizzas, which were fine. Has anybody else had a similar recent poor (or indeed good!)  experience at Malabar Feast?
    • Another recommendation for Silvano. I echo everything the above post states. I passed first time this week with 3 minors despite not starting to learn until my mid-30s. Given the costs for lessons I have heard, he's also excellent value.
