I know, in classic post christmas panic. Has anyone tried the Cambridge diet? I'm SO depressed about how I look and the what should have been lovely family christmas photos are just horrific. I've been pretty useless at following diets in the past. Weight watchers on line has not worked - I just lose interest and find inputing all the ingredients for meals tedious, and I fail daily on it! The cambridge diet looks extreme but maybe that's what is needed?!? Has anyone tried it and lived to recommmend?

Thanks - and sorry for being such a boxing day cliche :-)

Good overview of a number of popular diets here: http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/loseweight/Pages/top-10-most-popular-diets-review.aspx

Personally I don't believe any of them work long term. Eat a healthy, varied diet and incorporate regular exercise into your daily routine. It may be boring and may not have quick results, but its also the only sustainable option over the long term.

    • I think it's just if you are over 75,  unless you have certain medical conditions. But of course that could be a money saving measure. Maybe ask your GP if they think you need one?
    • Yes, this is life imitating movie, isn't it! I wonder if the pope saw Conclave ? From what I have read about him, I think he would have approved of the outcome.
    • Sorry, I can't remember, I've been inundated with texts inviting me to have this jab, and I made the appointment ages ago. But I get them because I'm ancient, not because of any serious medical condition. Maybe contact the surgery and ask? Yes, I  got a sore arm with Moderna last year. I suspect it was Moderna I had this morning, so I've got the sore arm to look forward to. Hooray. I think it's Pfizer that you may now have to pay for?
    • Sorry to sound stupid-what is a BIAB manicure?
