Pugwash
I heard last week that NHS workers did not want a repeat of the clap due to the new virus being more contagious. heartblock
No, I just try and vote for a government that will give them a pay rise, decent working conditions and appropriate PPE. Nigello
Is it too much of a stretch to say that we can show our thanks and support by doing more to keep ourselves healthy, even outside times of pandemic? We are mostly a self-indulgent lot, so if we all ditched the chips/booze/fags/hazardous sex, etc. at least some of the time wouldn't that be a good way of showing support? Some of us do this, many don't, thinking "it won't happen to me". A fair bit of illiness is, if not completely avoidable, then aided and abetted by certain choices. colville09
All of us must be feeling we can do little to help except by keeping out of the way and not adding to the problems but instead of clapping when prompted, a little cash to local charities each week is making me feel much better at the moment. J27
I agree - and if we want to give practical support to NHS staff, here's a link to the King's SOS appeal:https://supportkings.org.uk/sos Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/274659-anyone-do-the-clap-for-heroes/#findComment-1482722 Share on other sites
Chick
Nigelo, what do you mean by hazardous sex? Just out of interest. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/274659-anyone-do-the-clap-for-heroes/#findComment-1482734 Share on other sites
