?SE22? (cafe?)

Hi I wonder if anyone remembers a cafe, restaurant or wine bar called SE22. It would have been around 1999, read the name in an old diary, but cannot recall the details. Thanks

Anyone remember the Drum (I think it was) on North Cross Road?

It was in the days you could still smoke inside. It was very small and full of smokers 🤣

The drum- did it then become a cafe run by same family as the greengrocers.

The Drum had the feeling of a 6th form common room 🙂

Does anyone remember where about it was situated in Northcross? Was is it on the site of Monkatsu?

Nothing wrong with a sixth form common room atmosphere - reminds me of the deputy head confiscating our cards when we played bridge :)

Its side entrance was in that little alley with the nice metal doors.

They let you in there after hours 🤣

Yes it was Franklin's i had my 25 anniversary there Great service and meal.

I thought The Drum was really odd. Tried going in for a drink a couple of times, it felt like gatecrashing someone's home. Only a handful of people there, and they all seemed to know each other!
