carov
Hi there, just thought I would mention a lovely pop-up butchers that has opened in Forest Hill opp Sainsbury. They are open for the month of December (and we are hoping it becomes a more permanent fixture), providing beautifully aged meat from old breeds e.g. beef is Dexter. They are in collaboration with Franklins so also have some veggies and condiments, etc available. I have used William Rose who are ok-ish, and love Sparkes, who I thought couldn't be beaten on quality, but 'The Butchery' has really impressed me. We first tried their 45 day aged T-Bone steak which was divine (cut to the thickness that you want), and have returned since for more unusual cuts. The staff are wonderfully friendly, helpful and full of advice on how to cook the various cuts, and properly wrap the meat in brown paper. If you're in the area please drop in and support them. carov
I was in yesterday. Just in case someone was thinking of trying their produce (any steak fans, it's well worth the trip in from Dulwich), they are closing on the 24th December (I thought they were open until 31st). They are hoping to open on a permanent basis in Feb. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27331-pop-up-butchers/#findComment-601750 Share on other sites

michael_FH
The Butchery has reopened today following the successful pop-up shop run in December. They took some time since Christmas to properly equip the shop which is now a permenant fixture on London Road.
