Huguenot
What's this tune? It's driving me nuts.It would probably have been 70s or 80s, and I think it starts with a bit of frantic guitar action. It would have been a perfect intro for a motor racing show.It goes 'diddley diddley, diddley diddley, diddley diddley DAH DAH' and then repeats. Soundhound doesn't recognise it. DJKillaQueen
It's the DAH DAH that gives it away and that riff with the DAH DAH at the end is so famous..... Huguenot
That is also an excellent tune - but not really 70s or 80s motorsport material. :D Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27227-diddley-diddley-dah-dah/#findComment-599088 Share on other sites
the-e-dealer
I thought it was a reference to the New London Overground opening. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27227-diddley-diddley-dah-dah/#findComment-599110 Share on other sites
Jeremy
I actually guessed it too, before scrolling down to Wilhelm's answer! Huguenot's description is pretty good... the "diddley diddley" bit conveys the triplet rhythm well, followed by the "dah dah" stabs...
