Also listening to 400 Blows - Movin' (a cover of Brass Construction's classic)

Apparently, 400 Blows was founded in South London in the beginning 80's as a duo of Alexander Scott Fraser and Andrew Edward Beer. Wonder if they're around Dulwich somewhere...

If anyone knows where I can get a CD with the 400 Blows version of Movin' on it (don't mind a compilation, please let me know!

:)

"'Street Fighting Years' - Simple Minds "

when it all went a bit wrong (assuming with hindsight rather than nostalgia it wasn't all a bit wrong)

was listening to Sparkle in the Rain and I think it's still a decent album assuming it isn't the glow of hose young sunny days casting errr umm a shadow

mercury music nominees mmm nominated.

Any thoughts? Not exactly a vintage year admittedly, but generally o the opinion that UK has been a bit weak for a few years now. Some great small labels here scouring the world for original talent, but it's Ll got a bit stagnant here of late.

Still that Lisa Hannigan is very listenable in a coffee table sort of way. Anyone who should be on there who isn't (nope Simple Minds is a big no no)?

    • FOUND! Iโ€™m absolutely delighted to say that, after nearly two months, Rexy has been found and is now safely back home. Heโ€™s a bit skinny and tired but otherwise seems well. Thank you to everyone who kept an eye out, reached out or messaged with potential leads. And of course, to the wonderful couple who managed to gain his trust and messaged us. We are over the moon and he is enjoying some hearty meals and home comforts to start his recovery! Thank you all again. ๐Ÿค—

Still, at least it gives free rein to the bad-tempered, long-winded pensioners that begin their posts "having resided in Dulwich for a not inconsiderable number of decades, may I be so bold as to suggest..." ๐Ÿ˜‰
