I hope this isn?t breaking the rules.

Hello everybody and thanks for your support!

In this extraordinary time where businesses have been facing a difficult time, for various reasons, we would love to thank the people for their support.

Merouane works in East Dulwich and surrounding area as a handyman, who?s been working many years for a building company in London doing loft conversion, refurbishment, basement, extension where he gained lots of experience about construction 🚧

Now as a handyman he can guarantee and he?s previous clients that he?s work is up to high standards finishing, including:

Painting/decorating

Flooring

Assembly furniture

Fencing

Kitchen fittings

Plumbing

And general maintenance

We are in Dulwich and Merouane has done quite a few jobs for us involving multiple skills. He is reliable and resourceful and we would happily ask him to help again. So far, he has tackled carpentry and building jobs fixing the work of careless tradesmen. Unlike many handymen we?ve tried he always returns messages. Contact me directly if you need a reference.

Hi All,

I hope I've posted this in the correct place, but I promised Merouane a couple of months ago that I would post a review and I apologise for not doing so sooner.

I can't recommend Merouane highly enough. I found him on this forum, and he managed to fit my job in quickly, as it was a bit of an emergency with a suspected leaking heating pipe. Merouane carefully and tidily removed the laminate flooring in the corridor, and sections of the Victorian floorboards underneath to find the source of the leak, and was extremely patient and good natured / respectful in dealing with the tenants. Unfortunately it transpired that the leak was actually from an old lead pipe, so I had to make the decision to remove the entire pipe to outside, so as well as the corridor, and another room, then the kitchen, with tiles layed on concrete, where a section had to be removed to get to the pipe and connections. Also, he broke out a section of concrete in the garden so a stopcock could be fitted outside, then subsequently coming back to box it in, concrete it, and fit an access panel. This was all pretty stressful for myself and the tenants, as I had expected a simple job, but Merouane just dealt with it, knew exactly what to do for each of the separate problems each room threw up. I was really surprised, as I had only expected him to be a handyman. His knowledge of building works and experience is clearly far and above what he advertises, and he is really a pleasure to have in your home.

I hope this helps get some work for Merouane, and it's no problem to message me if anyone wants further information.

Thanks again Merouane.

I wanted to strongly second this recommendation. Merouane fitted a stair rail at our house in West Dulwich just before Christmas. He was absolutely brilliant. Total professional. He spent much longer on the job due to complications with our wall, and did so without hesitation. He was friendly, entertained the kids and most importantly did a sterling job. Would 100% recommend.

You seem not to understand the meaning of "national debt".  Have you perhaps been relying on someone else's usage? I'm sorry to hear of Starmer's decimation.

So I've dug out the url to have another try, this time without embedding:  https://x.com/guyshrubsole/status/1858490339356533018 .  Seems ok.   in reply to my own "Where did you get this from?" response to your post at https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/353788-is-rachel-reeves-becoming-the-new-liz-truss/?do=findComment&comment=1688310, in which you again spoke of the government's "doubling the national debt". The above merging of my posts in response to Sue and to Jazzer have been done by the forum system, so there's no point in my trying again to separate them.  I've already tried editing out the merging and reposting the one to jazzer, but ended up with the same forced merge.  Apologies. Latest edit.  The moral seems to be: don't try making two consecutive posts or they'll be liable to merging.  I've now been able to post a freestanding reply to jazzer's post now that there's an intervening post.
