Gidget
Rescue places sell animals. A pedigree breeder who sells puppies and can show that all the relevant health tests have been done on the dam and sire is being responsible. I certainly wouldn't expect them to give them away for free. And, just because they are a Kennel Club approved breeder doesn't mean that they have the animals best interests at heart. You only have to look at (most) Bassets, Pugs, German Shepherds, English Bulldogs, and watch the two programmes of Pedigree Dogs Exposed to see that Kennel Clubs still has a long way to go.
