woodrot
Yes, I know that a ban has been imposed on the forum re pets for sale. I dont agree with it, but can understand admin doing this at the very least for an easy life - IIRC, it was on the basis of a well fail poll and a Christian Voice style assault by a blinkered minority of slightly unhinged social inadequates. IMHO blates innit. Now its in place, I am assuming ED is now a sanctuary for pets and the scourge of people selling live things has been banished forever - what else should be banned from the forum ?mostly Genuine question BTW, disparaging broad brushstrokes aside Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27111-animals-for-sale-fail/ Share on other sites

Chillaxed
I bought some pies off a poster. They were excellent, but two included meat. Presume applying similar logic the sale of these pies should be banned. Ted Max
Serious "ideal world" answer: nothing that is legal should be banned, obvs. Semi-serious answer: I would ban businesses being able to ban discussion of themselves. BUT also, anyone persistently behaving like an outright cock towards a business (The now deleted Begging Bowl thread was a prime eg) would likewise be banned and the business in question sent a picture of that poster's severed head in a box, as recompense. the-e-dealer
Exactly nor is selling animals. But this thread is about the fact that though selling animals isn't it is illegal. And what else is banned from here. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27111-animals-for-sale-fail/#findComment-597175 Share on other sites

*Bob*
Hiring, strictly speaking - not selling. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27111-animals-for-sale-fail/#findComment-597186 Share on other sites
the-e-dealer
So selling them is ok but not hiring? surely selling would be slavery which I think is also illegal. *Bob*
Merely a point of order - that pimping is the hiring of prostitutes, not the selling of them. Administrator Administrator Posted December 3, 2012 Administrator Share Posted December 3, 2012 Strictly speaking animal sales aren't banned "Animals can only be sold if there's a link to them listed another reputable website."Hopefully it's a compromise between the fundamental animalist types who want no one to sell animals full-stop and those careful ones who want to sell animals that they've cared for. By making sure they have the animals listed on reputable site means they've gone to the trouble of doing it properly and not just got their Staffie up the duff to make a few quid to buy more Berkeleys and Special Brew.
