Oi! that was my reply!;-)

Not sure Mrs Zephyr would be very happy on shanks' pony either (walking).

Not sure I have argued in favour of 4x4s just my own car. I do not believe that they are a necessity in London. My VW Sharan is not a 4x4, it is a people carrier that is needed to take my family (including my 16 and 14 year old boys and even Mrs Zephyr) to places as a family. It had 7 seats in total which is hand as we have been know to transport my mother-in-law also so that she does not have to take her car to where ever we were going. I figured it might be responsible to do that. On a number of occasions a larger car such as mine has been used instead of an extra car with friends also.

A smaller car my also make it difficult when we go to the Vendee as a family in August.

  Saw something on social media written by someone who had to take her dog to the vet with similar symptoms. Her vet said there was something going around in the dog population. Her dog was given two separate injections and recovered very quickly. Not in this area.

  I appealed against a fine issued by Southwark, and won. The adjudicator was businesslike, but also mentioned that several cases had come to him caught out by the same confusing signage. Is there any other parking that could reasonably have been used? Does the shop advise where to park? It sounds as though the time in the bay was a reasonable use. Even if you lose, I doubt that Southwark can increase the original charge. If you are going to appeal, don't delay. Take pictures of the scene if you think that might help, also provide the weight of the goods if that supports your case.
