John did an excellent job after a water leak from the bathroom upstairs. We had to cut through our ceiling to investigate the leak. Once the leak was found the large area had to be plastered. This is where John cam and did a great job.

He is professional and a great guy. Would highly recommend John for any plastering work.

We've had John here this week to do some plastering for us. it was a full room (lots of angles and corners) plus a couple of patching up jobs and he has done an excellent job as well as leaving the place clean and tidy. This is no surprise as he did about 6 rooms in this house when we first moved in 4 years ago and did a great job on those too :)

John is a really nice guy and I can deffo recommend him for anyone needing plastering done - 07905 044912

Another recommendation for John - I removed a built-in cupboard from the living room of our Victorian flat which exposed some crumbling and uneven wall that needed professional attention. I got the recommendation for John from here and wasn’t disappointed at all. Extremely experienced, efficient, tidy and friendly and left the walls with an amazingly even and professional finish.

And same positive review from us. John did a couple of small pacthes where plaster had fallen away from render. Dropped by evening and on time, arranged return couple days later, arrived to do job on time, was extremely pleasant, tidy in going about jobs and no fuss. Highly recommend.

We've had John doing a ceiling for us today. This is the third time we've had him in to do stuff and we're always pleased with the results. He is also a really nice guy. In fact I hope he'll be back for a 4th time in the next few weeks to plaster the only room in the house he hasn't yet done!

Just wanted to add another recommendation for John McCann. We had him back to do some more work on our house, again he was quick to respond and open and honet about his pricing. All work done neatly, quickly and to an excellent standard - will be using his services again for any future work. Number - 07905044912

Belatedly adding feedback for John. We renovated a large bedroom last November. The walls were water damaged from a previous leak and it needed wallpaper removal too , so not a small job.
Can honestly say John did a great job . He was punctual , professional and tidy . He arrived with his colleague Aaron (also on the forum with great reviews) and they both did a great job. The professional painter who came in afterwards remarked that he thought it was one of the best plastering jobs he had ever seen.

We’re now six months on and the room still looks great .

A bonus is John is a very nice person - you can trust him .

Would highly recommend!

We've now used John on two separate occasions. One was a full room re-plaster, the other a more bitty job. Both jobs took exactly as long as he said they would. Plastering is excellent and he's always on time, tidy and a joy to be around. Would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend John for anyone needing plastering work. He carried out some plastering work in kitchen and hallway this August. He was polite, trustworthy and produced work to an excellent standard.
I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good plasterer.

We had a small job for John to do which was to skim a bedroom wall, and he did it perfectly. He was an excellent communicator and responded quickly to my request, despite it being over the Christmas period. I would highly recommend him.

    • Hi if anyone has one pm me cheers
    • You can always check when they registered on the forum, if you are suspicious. But I recommended Aria, and it certainly wasn't my only post on here, and it was a genuine recommendation. ETA: And he didn't ask me to make it, to the best of my recollection. But even if he had, many local tradespeople ask people to post on here if they are happy with the work that has been done.
    • I am not a patient at this practice, but surely it is more sensible to have an initial  phone discussion, as often the GP wouldn't need to see someone face to face unless they actually needed to physically examine them? This then leaves the available face to face appointments for patients who need them. And if during  the phone call the GP felt you needed examining, then arrangements could be made for a face to face. If you feel your ailment is such that you will definitely need to be physically examined, can you not explain that to the receptionist?
    • Give Labour a chance, they've only been in government for a short time, and they inherited a mess! As regards the notice boards, to the best of my recollection they were originally intended as community notice boards, and certainly not for advertising local businesses (who would decide which businesses  should have the limited space on the boards, anyway?) East Dulwich may have become more gentrified since the boards were first introduced, but that surely doesn't mean they should now be completely  taken over for the benefit of  the "middle classes", to the exclusion of everybody else? As  NewWave says, surely these people have other ways to find out about groups and events of interest to them, which the "non middle classes" may not have access to, and even if they did may not be able to afford them. Several people including myself have complained to councillors about the state of the noticeboards in the past.  I think one of the issues is that they were originally maintained by local volunteers, who may have either moved out of the area or lost interest - or given up in despair when the boards were flypostered and/or vandalised. I completely  agree that the boards should be used for information about not for profit organisations in the area, but if regular maintenance can't be provided and/or they continue to be vandalised, then I think it would be better if they were removed altogether.
