Rules and tips for this events section

Update - A clean up is happening, if your title doesn't have the right details in it, it will be removed without warning. Users should be able to scan the list of events and see what's on where and when. Sorry the forum software isn't meant to be an events calendar so let's try and make it useful for the users. "New Baby Dancing Classes" is an example of a rubbish title.

---------------------

The event should be in or very close to East Dulwich. If it's not it will be deleted.

In the body of your post please put as much detail as possible, you know, time, exact location, how to get there, parking etc. The more information you put in your message means more people will know about more things about your event. It may be a good idea to put a link to a map e.g. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=1+Lordship+Lane,+Southwark,+Greater+London,+SE22&sll=51.451124,-0.071717&sspn=0.032467,0.064459&g=1+Lordship+Lane,+Southwark,+Greater+London,+SE22&ie=UTF8&ll=51.460237,-0.07493&spn=0.008115,0.016115&z=16&iwloc=r0

Do not...

just write an event title - put in the time and location.

write CAPITAL LETTERS in the subject line or message. Immediate deletion by the Administrator if you do.

put the web address or contact details in the subject line.

post your event in other sections of the website.

****Use excessive punctuation!!!!!!!!

post unnecessary messages to enhance or "bump up" your listing.

post excessively and repeatedly about classes/events. Take the mickey and they will all be removed and you will be banned.

If you have multiple events please do not post them all at once, it's not fair on the other promoters.

If you do these things it really annoys The Administrator and that's not good. If you do do any of those things your message maybe deleted with warning

thanks

    • The editing was clumsy and made it look like he said something specific, that he did not. That is obviously wrong, and the BBC have apologised and people have lost their jobs as a result. That said, the overall impression - that Trump repeatedly stated (and still does) that the election had been stolen, that he encouraged his supporters to march on the Capitol, that he repeatedly called for people to fight - in short that he inspired a violent insurrection - is entirely true.  Trump used the word 'fight' 20 times. Whilst his speech was going on, his supporters chanted "Take the Capitol", "Invade the Capitol", "Storm the Capitol" and "Fight for Trump" The documentary generally, was not misleading. The real scandal is that Trump wasn't tried and ended up back in power. I do think that we need to stop normalising Trump. He has a criminal history and is openly corrupt. He has shown himself to be a threat to democracy. The US right and their tech billionaire allies are having an malign impact on UK politics and culture, interfering both directly and indirectly, in ways that we should be doing more to challenge.
    • @beansprout I don't think Gails has closed, Do you mean Megans? I've never seen waiters at Gails. If you do mean Megans unfortunately I believe its just closed for refurbishment to be relaunched as some similarly awful 'concept'
    • Staff have changed and owner now taking a more active role….she is such a nice+lady so I encourage you to try again . I am all for supporting local business and personally very glad after appalling service earlier this year Gail’s has closed.. Change of staff and chefs were unreal.. In one month alone must have had at least 4 new chefs plus god knows how many waiters/ waitresses.. when Ai saw that happening, new it was gonna be down hill all the way.
