Jellybeanz
Hope it's okay to share on this page but I thought I would, as it's nearly at 1 million and could do with more support - government seem to be agreeing that no child should be without food over school holidays but refusing to act and provide vouchers for families in need (in contrast to Wales and Scotland I believe who are offering food vouchers in holidays until spring 2021 at least).https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/554276Whatever your party politics, hopefully we can all agree that nobody should be going hungry in this country in this day and age and by supporting free school meals in school holidays we are supporting their families also, in a period where many are suffering.I read that London unemployment rates had doubled since the start of the pandemic. Truly shocking and I think many of us are very sheltered and fortunate to have stable jobs, so should be doing what we can whether supporting a petition or giving to a food bank or local charity. Thanks for reading, much appreciated.
