In case of interest, the Council Assembly had a cabinet reshuffle at Monday?s meeting, details at https://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/documents/b50013249/Tabled%20Papers%20Monday%2024-May-2021%2019.00%20Council%20Assembly.pdf?T=9.

If you are a resident without a car, you will not have a parking permit, so will not have an account to buy visitor parking. Also it is not the easiest site to navigate and may present an accessibility challenge to some. Some pay by phone on EDG would be useful.

That?s not true

?Visitor's parking permits

You can buy visitor's parking permits if you live within a controlled parking zone (whether you own a car or not).?

I?m not sure how useful this is, but here?s the Council?s report on Phase 3 of the Our Healthy Streets consultation. Doubtless we will all read it from our own perspectives and draw different conclusions.

Yes Snowy, you can buy them, but most people without a car will have not set up an account, so will have to set up an account in order to purchase visitors permits.

The point I was trying to make, obviously not as well as I hoped, is that setting up is not so straightforward on the site, for instance it took over a month to set up mine as the site had issues recognising my address and it also required extra identifying documentation, in the end Councillor McAsh very kindly intervened.

Some people who do not have a car may have accessibility issues when it comes to navigating a 'clunky' site, therefore it might be a nice idea for a few pay-phone visitor parking sites on EDG.

I'm not sure this is an unreasonable request.

It isn't an unreasonable request at all - would definitely make it again. The spaces could be either pay by phone or residents if spaces are a concern. Just bear in mind that pay by phone generally limited to a shorter time than the hours of operation of the permits so may not be the workaround for longer term visits.
